Spiess Australia began its operation in 1996 under the strict supervision of its parent company Spiess Schiers AG in Switzerland. Our parent company has over 100 years experience in the production of high quality Smallgoods, which was established 1906 and is the largest Air Dried Manufacturer in Switzerland with a further facility in France.
At the Spiess Australia factory, Swiss & European tradition and Australian quality go hand-in-hand. We are the only dedicated Air Dried producer in Australia with a modern up-to-date drying facility which was purpose built in 2009. We continually invest in state-of-the-art European manufacturing equipment to keep improving and expanding our product range. Quality is rigorously controlled at every level.
All our products are prepared using traditional recipes and the finest quality Australian Meat. We work directly with some of Australia’s leading Pork and Beef producers where we can show traceability from the farm to the finished article. We have long term agreements in place for the procurement of all our meat this is to ensure that we have consistent product each and every time.
The factory has a processing area of 2000 square meters with an additional 2000 sqm left for future expansions. Temperature and climate control in all areas are electronically monitored and maintained at all times to ensure consistency and quality of our meat specialties. Spiess Australia is a five star manufacturer, Export license No. 919, AQIS ME 144 and HACCP is in place throughout all processes.
